Mouse part...

There are many main part of the computer mouse but, the outer part would be the "body", "tail" and the under part of the mouse. The mouse's "body" is the very outer part of the computer mouse body. It is use as a shell of the mouse. Normally made out of plastic as it is light in weight and cheap to produced. However other materials can still be use as a body part for the computer mouse such as metal or ,the same as the prototype computer mouse, wood, but the truth is that it is depend on the user like and its function as different materials have different strong point and weak points.

The next part is the "tail" part. In this part it call the tail as it look like the tail of the mouse, but it actually is the electrical cable attached to the end of the computer mouse to your computer. Which is directly connected to the CPU of your computer. The computer mouse can be connected to the CPU by using a port.

In computer mouse port are also important as it can determine the speed of the mouse and hoe sensitive it is. It also can provide more comfortable and efficiency. There are 3 main type of port which are RS-232C serial port, P S/2 port and lastly USB interface. There are many different advantages to each one of them and there are also some weak points too. However the most common port that we use today is USB interface. Even though USB interface is widely use, there is a newer type of connection which is wireless connection. This type help promote the comfortable of using computer mouse as it is very comfortable to carry it around, howver it tend to cost more than other type.

Now come to the underside of the computer mouse. On the underside of the mouse, it is cover with a plastic usually same materials with the body. There is a hole on the underside which can insert the ball such that some of its are outer side of the mouse. The rolling ball is use to detect the movement of the computer mouse and sent a signal to the CPU and the command is reach to the screen. However there is another type of underside as there might not be any rolling ball but there is a infrared light signal from the light-emitting diode. The dark and light are translated by photo transistors into electrical pulses that go to the interface integrated circuit (IC) in the mouse. The pulses tell the IC that the ball has tracked left-right and up-down, and the IC instructs the cursor to move accordingly on the screen.
